**NEW LOCAL RULE FOR ALL RCSC COURSES**
EFFECTIVE 2/12/26
A ball that comes to rest in or on the concrete water canals or bridges is considered to be in a penalty area.
HOWEVER, if the ball is in the general playing area of the course, and the canal or bridge interfere with the player's normal swing or stance, FREE relief is given. Relief shall not be given for line of sight interference.
EXAMPLE:. If your ball in the general playing area of the course comes to rest close to or against the outside concrete curb edge of the penalty area (considered an Immovable Obstruction, USGA Rule 16.1) you can take FREE relief IF it interferes with your normal swing or stance.
